What you’ll be responsible for
1. Supervise the running of the retail shop / Cafe areas on a day to day basis including some shifts as Duty Manager.
2. Assist the Business Support Officer with creating rotas.
3. Take a lead in ensuring all paperwork is correct, up to date and properly filed, (e.g. hire forms, cleaning records).
4. Work to appropriate safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all persons on site.
5. Assist with stock management and pricing.
6. Share best practice with other company sites across Wales.
7. Compare pricing with local outlets (benchmark).
8. Look for economies of scale, bulk orders with preferred suppliers to split with other company sites across Wales.
9. Review and refresh product range to keep up with market trends.
10. Liaise with suppliers, place orders for shop stock and record receipts on Tevalis (training can be provided).
11. Display shop items and maintain counter stock to maximise income.
12. Daily reconciliation of shop income with till Z reports. (training can be provided).
13. Be an ambassador of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, providing a friendly point of contact and information service to visitors.
14. Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
