Your role will include:
1. Support fellow educators/practitioners to deliver the setting’s curriculum and standard of practice.
2. Work towards an early year’s qualification with support from the senior member of staff and Paragon Skills.
3. Seek support from team members to assist your learning.
4. Work closely with children aged 0-5 years, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing, and toileting.
5. Work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children.
6. Plan, provide, and support age-appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care.
7. Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.
8. Observe, assess, and record children’s learning and development progress.
9. Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child.
10. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
11. Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures.
12. Attend regular team meetings.
13. Ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
14. Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the Setting Manager for training requirements.
15. Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies (both statutory and voluntary) to support children within the setting as appropriate.
16. Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by the Setting Manager.

Training:
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact. This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails, and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study. This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner – Level 2.
Prospects:
Possibility of recruiting at the end of the apprenticeship if the candidate has shown willingness and commitment during their apprenticeship leading to a qualified role.
