What you'll do
This Senior Large Loss Claims Technician role could be a great fit for a legal executive, solicitor, or experienced large loss specialist looking to take full ownership of complex motor claims. You will be responsible for mitigating against claims leakage through the experienced and proficient handling of high-value motor claims—mainly in excess of £50,000—and managing litigation across a portfolio of complex cases. Assessing liability accurately in these large loss motor claims is essential to achieving successful outcomes.
You’ll be working on:
* Gradle-to-grave claims handling across all coverages and damages
* Assessing liability and determining strategy for claims over £50k
* Stepping into an existing portfolio and integrating into the current environment
* Supporting and guiding others, while managing your own workload
* Delivering solutions that meet customer outcomes and expectations
* Risk-balanced decision-making: pay, reserve, or escalate as appropriate

1. Exceptional Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and strategies to diverse stakeholders.
2. Handling Experience: Adaptability to manage gradle-to-grave claims across varying coverages, including Bodily Injury (BI), Credit Hire, and Property damage.
3. Legal and Claims Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience managing litigation in a legal exec, solicitor, or large loss specialist capacity.
4. Liability Assessment Experience: Proven ability to assess liability in complex large loss motor claims and make defensible, strategic decisions.
5. Attention to Detail & Task Management: Proven ability to independently manage tasks, stay structured, and provide support to the team.
6. Customer-Focused Problem Solving: Commitment to delivering tailored solutions aligned with customer outcomes and expectations.
7. Proactive Decision-Making: Comfortable taking a forward-thinking, assertive approach rather than waiting to react—driving strong claim outcomes and reducing leakage.
What to expect from the process:
1. Screen & Intro: 30-minute video call with the Talent Team to discuss the role and your experience.
2. First Interview: 60-minute video call to test your technical knowledge and team fit with the Head of Claims and People Team.
3. Final Stage: 90-minute in-person assessment involving a scenario-based task and team fit interview.
