We are looking for a committed and experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurses to help deliver the service in Mansfield & Ashfield as part of the locality community mental health team for older people. You will be based within the Multi-Disciplinary Community Mental Health Team whilst also being a part of the wider outreach service which is managed by a clinical specialist. A key aspect of the Community Psychiatric Nurse role will be advising and supporting care home staff to improve their skills and confidence to manage behaviours and promote person centred care planning. Specialist knowledge of the nursing issues associated with dementia in a residential setting and a high level of communication skills are crucial. The County Dementia Outreach service covers the County of Nottinghamshire and operates within a virtual team service model with clinicians being based within locality based community mental health teams. Applicants must be NMC registered. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
