An exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and passionate individuals to fill the role of Trainee Service Coordinator, focusing on the social inclusion element of the Futures Together service in an Essex locality.
Futures Together is a commissioned service combining the expertise of two Essex Phoenix Futures services – the Criminal Justice service and the Social Inclusion service. Our team is committed to providing support and social inclusion opportunities for people who use our services, and across Essex to make a positive impact.
As a Trainee Service Coordinator, you will learn and be supported to implement innovative activities and groups that complement our existing social inclusion initiatives, along with supporting to recruit, train, volunteers and peer mentors. You will collaborate closely with local communities, establishing relationships and supporting individuals to engage with the Futures Together team.
Both roles offer a work schedule of 15 hours per week, allowing for autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support. Responsibilities:
1. To provide a welcoming and supportive environment for clients wishing to access the service, groups and activities provided by Futures Together Social Inclusion service.
2. To effectively manage a small caseload, ensuring motivation and increasing the client’s recovery capital options, including completing relevant paperwork/monitoring.
3. Complete accurate risk assessments/Recovery Radars and manage the client’s risk appropriately, including multi-agency partnership working/liaison where appropriate.
4. To implement effective communication protocols and referral pathways with relevant community agencies.
5. To complete administrative tasks including database maintenance, maintenance of accurate client files/records, and relevant form filling to meet the organisation, programme, and legal requirements.
6. To communicate professionally over the phone, by email, and in person with anybody contacting the service.
7. To liaise with, and build and maintain, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues and other professionals from relevant agencies and/or partnerships.
8. To collate relevant data and information for monitoring and evaluation processes.
9. To observe professional standards of good practice and care in all aspects of the programme and fulfil the duty of care during practice.
10. To maintain a working knowledge and work in accordance with current law and practice relevant to substance-using clients.
11. To adhere to protocols, policies, and procedures in line with Phoenix Futures.
12. To contribute to and support the service to meet targets.
13. To demonstrate pro-social attitudes and beliefs.

* Starting salary of £9,600 per annum, pro rata, with the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal.
