As part of our on-going commitment to the delivery of high quality, reliable services for our patients, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Scheduled Care Directorate within Hywel Dda University Health Board. To achieve high quality delivery, our transformation plans encompass service delivery improvements including clinical redesign and digital platforms. The Service Manager role provides an ideal opportunity to work with clinical and non-clinical teams to help re-design and deliver transformational change in the way we provide care to our patients and improve the working lives of our staff. The Health Board will be looking to outsource services to ensure that patient care remains our top priority.
Main duties of the job
As part of the directorate's recovery strategy you will be responsible for managing the delivery of small to medium scale projects or work streams which will support the delivery of our outpatient transformation strategy, driving innovation around moving services online and implementing technologies that will drive efficiencies and better engagement for our services and community. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your understanding and practical application of planning, design, engagement, collaboration, service improvement and overall skills in change management. It will be necessary to work with a range of external stakeholders in order to increase capacity in a variety of service areas.
You will have proven NHS experience at managerial level, be dynamic, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. You will be a team player and able to work with senior managerial and clinical staff, having excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.
