Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the CDM Consultant include but are not limited to:
o Ability to act as Principal Designer, Principal Designer Advisor and CDM Advisor
o Responsible for managing their own projects – from developing and issuing Fee Proposals through to overseeing handover of the health & safety File.
o Being the key interface between & liaising with the Client Teams, Design Teams, Principal Contractors, and other duty holders to deliver projects in line with the Client’s remit, programme and budget whilst being mindful of the Green Hat costs.
o Carrying out thorough reviews of site project information and construction drawings, and identification of design, construction and maintenance risks through Design Risk Reviews.
o Attending & co-ordinating Design & Project Meetings as required throughout projects (including temporary works review meetings and contractor design portion).
o Visiting project sites prior to construction to carry out initial risk appraisals.
o Preparing, co-ordinating and distributing relevant Health & Safety Information to other design & project team members, using company format where required.
o Carrying out CDM Compliance visits and producing / issuing reports.
