Have you got a strong background in B2B Event Marketing? Are you looking to progress your career in Marketing Event Management? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven events professional to work with one of the UK's leading SaaS companies.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and success of the Lead Forensics attendance at approximately 30 business exhibitions per year, with attendee numbers ranging from 2,000 to 45,000+, as well as planning and implementing Lead Forensics brand events as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and delivering marketing campaigns to support each event, ensuring lead generation targets are consistently met and ensuring that the leads from each event are nurtured to fruition.
Based in our Portsmouth office, the successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the successful event delivery in the UK (90%) and in the EU (10%). Travel to UK events will be required, as will some EU travel and a small amount of USA travel.
To be considered for this role, you must have your own driver's license and be willing to travel outside working hours to at least one event per week, during peak event times, across the UK and EU.
Reporting into the Marketing and Event Operations Director, core responsibilities include:
1. Driving and delivering the target number of enquiries at each event.
2. Travel to business events all over the UK to offer demonstrations of our product to prospective clients.
3. Manage and mentor stand team members to ensure a successful event delivery.
4. Capture and collate delegate data for post-event communication.
5. Phase and manage events budgets.
6. Use the full marketing mix to promote our presence at each event.
7. Negotiate deals with organisers and contractors to fit within budget.
8. Manage contractors during stand builds.
9. Order and design all our marketing collateral including flyers, promotional products, stand graphics, banners/emails.
10. Use social platforms to nurture delegates post-event.
11. Copywrite and proof all marketing materials.
12. Project Management, incorporating the whole marketing team.
13. Track the performance of each event through an in-depth lead journey analysis, and final ROI.
14. Provide updated KPI reports for the Marketing and Event Operations Director.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
1. Previously worked within an Event Marketing position.
2. Possess a full driver's licence with access to own vehicle.
3. Thorough understanding of direct marketing initiatives.
4. High level of copywriting and collateral production knowledge.
5. Able to work efficiently in a pressurised, target-driven environment.
6. Lively, upbeat, self-motivated, organised, and a fantastic communicator.
7. Able to travel to and from events outside of regular business hours; this is not a 9 am to 5:30 pm role, an awareness of the requirements of working within the events industry will be advantageous. During the event seasons (Feb-June and Sept to Nov), this role will likely require travel to at least one event per week within the UK.
