We are looking for someone who can bring energy to our class programme. Exercise classes are regularly monitored for improvement but will receive support from the Duty Officer for health and fitness to make the class successful.
All Coaches are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take onus on making their class successful.
Must hold a level 2 Gym Instructor and a Group Exercise qualification or equivalent. A First Aid certificate would be advantageous but not essential.
This position could lead to further contracted hours should they become available for the right candidate. This position also gives you the option to cover other classes covering holiday, sickness, and other absence. If you are a qualified personal trainer then this opportunity could be perfect to add something extra to your skillset and get regular hours.
It will be an initial 12 week contract with the aim to progressing to permanent if the class is successful.

The Role:
Plan, deliver, and evaluate safe and effective group exercise sessions focusing on the lower body.
Instruct classes that may include a combination of aerobic and resistance training exercises.
Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels.
Ensure all participants are using correct form to prevent injuries.
Create a motivating and inclusive environment that encourages member retention and engagement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
Level 2 Certificate in Group Training or equivalent (e.g., Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Group Training)
Additional certifications in specialised fitness areas (e.g., Studio Cycle, Pilates) are advantageous.
First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire participants.
Previous experience teaching group fitness classes is preferred.
A desire to develop professionally and expand into other areas of fitness instruction or leisure services is highly valued.
