The Critical Care Unit located adjacent to the theatre suite has been expanded. This provides an integrated 18 bedded area with four potential isolation rooms and the ability to cohort into a four-bedded area separate from the main unit.
A Surgical Admission Lounge (SAL) next to theatre admits patients on the day for elective operations.
The award-winning Maternity Department consists of a self-contained midwife led unit with 3 rooms with birthing pools. The delivery suite has 6 standard delivery rooms, 2 theatres and a 2 bedded recovery area.
