We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team, supporting residents across Oswald House, Whalley Road, Blackburn Road and our brand-new service, Bilberry Lodge, set to open in July 2025.
In this role, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support individuals with complex mental health needs in their recovery journey. You will assist in delivering therapeutic activities, promoting independence, and enhancing daily living skills within a specialist residential setting.

What you'll be working:
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
* Work with residents across the four services to enable them to develop their domestic, self-care, social work or leisure skills as appropriate for each individual under the guidance and supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Take responsibility for planning and facilitating specific therapeutic groups under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Observe the general behaviour, mood, ability, and response of patients during sessions and respond as appropriate.
* Make accurate and clear entries in patients’ clinical records.
* Feedback residents’ engagement and progress to the multi-disciplinary team as and when requested to do so.
* Attend and contribute to meetings and clinical discussions as appropriate.
* Accompany people we support on social and therapeutic outings as requested.
* Keeping people safe from harm and protecting their human rights.
What you'll have:
* A passion for providing person centred care.
* Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Experience of organising activities and working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential.
* Be able to encourage and engage people in a range of activities.
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
