Nexos are looking for a Quality Control Inspector for a staff role, based in Aberdeen.
In this role, you will ensure effective performance of Quality Control activities, demonstrate product conformance while adhering to company and client procedures. This role requires strong collaboration with managers, superintendents, production, and QC personnel to maintain efficient operations at the appointed fabrication facility.
Your remit involves reviewing, revising, and issuing job packs to the production department, ensuring all customer requirements are verified. You will coordinate QC activities, including reviewing material certifications and generating NDE requests, while conducting pre and post visual weld inspections, weld process audits, and dimensional inspections before NDT. Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, you will ensure the final product meets customer specifications and expectations.
You will be responsible for verifying that all aspects of NDT and dimensional tolerances align with fabrication requirements and ensuring all necessary certification is in place before final release. Additionally, you will prepare documentation for third-party inspectors and client representatives, organize inspections, and ensure requirements are met for ongoing work. Maintaining full traceability of weld and material information and verifying documentation dossiers for accuracy before submission will also be key responsibilities.
This role requires a proactive approach to professional development, adapting to the evolving responsibilities of Quality Control to maintain excellence in fabrication standards.

* Experience in a fabrication environment.

* CSWIP 3.1
Desirable:
* Radiographic Interpreter PCN Level 2.
* Ability to co-ordinate internal resources and 3rd parties.
