Job Title: Contract Engineer\nRate: £75,000 - £100,000 depending on experience\nLength: 3-years Fix Term Contract, with Perm opportunities\n\nAbout the Client: The client is an independent management and technology consultancy with European roots and a global reach. they offer consulting, products, and capital services, helping clients navigate complex challenges and achieve sustainable growth.\nRole Overview: As a Contract Engineer at with this client, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing engineering and automated materials handling projects on a contractual basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.\nKey Responsibilities:\n* Contract Development and Negotiation: Craft detailed contracts outlining project scope, timelines, costs, and deliverables.\n* Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and client expectations.\n* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the project lifecycle.\n* Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive interactions with clients to facilitate smooth project execution and address any grievances effectively.\n* Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project activities adhere to contractual agreements and industry standards. Create organized summaries of essential clauses for easy reference.\n* Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, to align project goals and ensure successful outcomes.\n* Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.\n* Programme management Review and collaboration of Vendor and Client construction and fitout programmes, monitoring progress, highlighting risks and mitigating issues.\n* Change & Cost management Manage changes throughout the Contract period, auditing and validating claims and managing the approvals process. Process requests for performance and stage payment.\n\nQualifications:\n* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).\n* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.\n* Proven experience in contract engineering or a similar role.\n* Strong understanding of contractual terms and condition e.g MF1 or NEC.\n* Ability to analyse complex technical drawings and legal documents.\n* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.\n* Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
