Responsibilities:
As a Controls Engineer, you will:
* Develop and support control systems for specialised automated machinery
* Programme and modify PLC, HMI, and Motion Control systems
* Configure networked control systems with distributed I/O
* Integrate vision systems for inspection and measurement
* Oversee machine safety compliance with international standards
* Prepare support documentation for manufacturing and testing
* Provide customer support and travel on-site as needed
* Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements
* Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* HNC/HND or equivalent in a Software-related discipline
* Proven experience with PLC, HMI, and motion programming (preferably Rockwell Logix)
* Knowledge of safety PLC, Kinetix motion control, and Studio 5000
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change
* Ability to travel internationally (2-3 weeks, 4-5 times annually)
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Experience with Siemens Control systems and TIA Portal
* Familiarity with robotic applications (Yaskawa preferred)
* Knowledge of vision systems
