Humberside Police are looking for a highly motivated individual to join them in their busy Duties Team.
As a Force Duties Planner, the post holder will be required to maintain systems for the production of the force duties rosters, identifying resources available from within the force to meet operational needs.
You will give sufficient notice to staff/officers where possible to any changes in duties for planned or unexpected events to ensure staffing is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Uses duties management system software to identify, amend, compile and report on duties data including weekly, monthly and annual rosters for police and appropriate police staff to meet the operational needs of the Force, as determined by the nominated supervisor, taking account of holidays, sickness, flexible working, rest days and police regulations, etc.
Informs staff and SLT of changes to rosters, at nominated time periods highlighting associated outcomes sometimes at short notice within guidance and regulations.
Inputs and maintains the Force duties data and hierarchy in order to reflect any restructuring and changes, amending names, codes, locations, shifts/reliefs and rotas as appropriate.
Monitors spend against specific Force budgets, ensuring resources are deployed effectively, producing the appropriate management information where applicable.
Maintains records associated with Force requirements, e.g. annual leave, sickness, training etc. Checks overtime returns, calculates time due and updates appropriate records.
Monitors the availability and training level of Force Personnel responsible for specialist skills (e.g. Police Support Unit Training (PSU), Officer Safety Training (OST) etc.) highlighting areas of concern through appropriate channels.
Identifying appropriate options for the provision of resources to support Force and Mutual Aid Operations and Major Public Events, ascertaining areas for flexibility for adjustment if required.

Experience of working in a customer orientated field
Experience of maintaining databases and researching data from computerised recording systems.
Experience of working in a clerical field, incorporating record keeping, telephone work etc
Excellent communication skills
Computer literacy/keyboard skills
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to prioritise workload.
