Software Project Engineer (PLC / SCADA)
Location: WarwickSalary: Up to £50,000 + 10% Bonus + BenefitsTravel: UK & Overseas (as required)Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexi-time available (core hours: 9:0012:00 & 13:3015:30)
The RoleExciting opportunity for a Software Project Engineer to work on a variety of automation and control system projects. The role is hands-on, involving PLC and SCADA programming, system design and commissioning, supporting projects from concept to completion. Youll be working with Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7) and Rockwell (ControlLogix) PLCs, developing robust control systems for industries such as automotive, manufacturing and process automation.
You'll be involved in designing, coding, testing and troubleshooting software and control systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and performance requirements. The role requires a mix of office-based development and on-site commissioning, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams. Some UK and international travel will be required.
What Youll Be Doing
1. PLC programming Developing solutions using Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal and Rockwell ControlLogix.
2. SCADA & HMI development Creating user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript, C#, or VB Script.
3. System design & documentation Writing functional design specifications and bench test procedures.
