We’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Lindisfarne Castle, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.
Salary: £11.50 an hour
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 720 hours a year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
18 hours a week, worked across 40 weeks of the year (closed in winter). Working hours and days will vary according to tides and need of the business.
Interview date: Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th February

What it's like to work here
Lindisfarne National Trust Shop is situated in the bustling village of Holy Island. Holy Island is a tidal island so the opening times of the shop will vary in accordance with these tides, however, the rotas will be done well in advance for planning around this.

What you'll be doing
As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.
You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.
