Do you have strong financial and data analysis skills? Can you communicate effectively to all levels? If so, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for a Customs Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Performance Finance Director, you’ll work closely with International Operations and Finance to reconcile customs charges and maintain robust financial controls.
You will also:
• Manage financial controls for Parcelforce Worldwide (PFW) customs activities (imports & exports).
• Ensure accurate tax & duty billing, with documented processes and monthly reconciliations.
• Reconcile the deferment account with HMRC, investigating discrepancies.
• Lead future customs finance projects and process improvements.
• Handle export customs charges, reconciling data across GLS partners, SAP, and UK billing.
• Support Sales and Commercial teams with escalated customer enquiries.
• Advise the Commercial Customs Bureau (CCB) on billing-related matters.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls for all off-system and complex billing.
About You
• Strong financial and data analysis skills with an eye for detail.
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Problem solver with a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
• Solid understanding of international operations and customs processes is desirable.
• Knowledge of Alteryx is a plus.
