Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic hard-working Radiographer Mammographer that has the Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography to work in the Breast Unit at City Health Campus, Walsall Manor Hospital and the 5 dedicated screening mobile units that are used within the community.
The City breast unit has Hologic - Dimensions units and Walsall breast unit has GE-Pristina digital equipment.
We are one of the largest screening programmes in the West Midlands and being an innovative team, we have implemented Tomosynthesis in assessment clinics, are part of the National Tomosynthesis trial with Kings College hospital, are the only service in the West Midlands to have a Tomo biopsy unit and are the first service Nationally to have introduced the Automated Breast Ultrasound system into the breast symptomatic pathway.
We are looking for qualified Mammographers to join our pro-active team.

Main Duties of the Job
The post holder is part of a multidisciplinary team undertaking mammography examinations in both the screening and symptomatic breast referral services, according to National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) and Quality Managements System (QMS) Operating Procedures.
The Trust is invested in continuing professional development. In addition to the national 4 tier structure, the service structure includes an additional 2 tiers comprised of Clinical Specialist and Senior Assistant Practitioner. The post holder has the potential to move towards career progression clinically and at service level. They will also support in the management of the service as directed by the Clinical Superintendent Mammographer over all 7 sites. Join us at SWBT and be part of a service with a vision.

Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography
* Current HPC Registration
* Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography
Desirable
* Undertaking clinical study at Masters level or a relevant management course
Experience
Essential
* Demonstrable experience as a Qualified Radiographer
* Must be willing to undertake Post Graduate study at, or towards, master level
* Must be able to work independently and to write a concise and accurate clinical report
* Evidence of current CPD to Health Professional Council (HPC) standard
* Able to undertake audit
Desirable
* Experience at writing protocols/guidelines and patient care pathways, using research based evidence of best practice
* Experience in research and development
