The Role in a Nutshell
Working across the Azzurri Group you will drive, deliver and evolve the Group ESG purpose and strategy, providing metrics to measure the impact of our actions. With a background in the ESG space, you will work closely with our external partners and provide research and expertise to ensure that we remain innovative in our thinking and ambitions.
You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders from each brand and central functions and will inspire, motivate and engage the wider Azzurri and brand teams to ensure delivery of our purpose, strategy and initiatives so that we hit our ESG targets. Working with pace, a clear direction and to an agreed plan you will continue the implementation of new policies and ways of working, engaging and communicating with all, to support an accelerated level of delivery across the group.
The Scope
You will lead the Azzurri Group ESG purpose and strategy, providing the roadmap for actions required and the KPI dashboard
* You will provide research, expertise and new thinking to ensure that our ESG strategy evolves in line with external developments
* You will source, introduce, lead and work with third party providers to increase Azzurri’s capability in this area
* Working with key stakeholders you will support the implementation of innovative and effective new and improved working practices and policies that drive our ESG purpose and agenda
* You will work closely and collaboratively, engaging with our central Azzurri teams, our brand teams and the wider restaurant teams, bringing our ESG purpose and strategy to life
* You will represent Azzurri on various industry forums and working groups (including the Zero Carbon Forum) engaging and working closely with key internal stakeholders on actions required to meet our commitments
* You will act as an ambassador for Azzurri ensuring you embody our culture, our ESG purpose behaviours and ways of working
Key Accountabilities
* Further embed our ESG practices for the Group, supporting the continuous integration of our ESG purpose into everything that we do, across all brands within the Group
* Become the ESG guardian for the Group, driving the purpose and strategy and oversee its delivery into life – this will include all consumer touch points, including food proposition and supply chain, all employee touch points, including understanding of and engagement with our ESG purpose and strategy
* Lead the Group ESG Steering Committee providing data, analysis and materials as required to report to our Shareholders
* Continually evolve a KPI dashboard that demonstrates performance against our strategic objectives, clearly articulating the actions required
* Support all teams within the business on their ESG initiatives (such as waste management and recycling and energy management and carbon reduction) and to lead cross functional project teams to achieve company-wide progress on key initiatives
* Support the delivery of external PR and social campaigns which highlight our ESG purpose and strategy, to engage with our customers
* Provide regular internal communications, working collaboratively with the brands, which drive engagement with and the behaviours that deliver our ESG purpose and strategy, bringing it to life for all

Where We Work Together:
We have a great office designed by our own in-house creative team, located in Central London, just opposite the Edgware Road Circle line tube stop. As you might expect from a restaurant company, we have great, free espresso and some top-class baristas among our teams. A free Coco di Mama breakfast is provided every Tuesday and Thursday, and free fruit is available all day every day. We regularly order in pizza, pasta and salads for lunch.
