Harbour Rise is a lovely family-owned Care Home in Paignton, rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This fantastic rating is due to our wonderful staff, many of whom have been with us for many years.
We are looking for an Office Payroll/Administrator specialized in payroll and absence booking systems to join our team.
Skills Required:
* A team player with a friendly, positive attitude
* Flexibility and ability to assist with all aspects of office duties
* Excellent telephone manner, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Experience with Payroll, Accounts, Petty Cash, etc.
* Excellent IT skills, familiar with MS Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
* Ability to show initiative and work within a team
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage own workload in a timely manner
* Experience with a software system called Planday would be helpful but not essential, as training will be given
* Basic knowledge of using social media, uploading photos and videos, ensuring this and our website is regularly updated
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with professionals, families, residents, and colleagues
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepares payroll information for employees accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining accurate payroll and absence records
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
* Prepare holiday/absence reports for management as needed
* Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices
* Schedule regular meetings and produce minutes
* Draw up contracts, invoices, and issue refunds
* Track and record payments, ensuring these are received promptly and chasing any overdue payments
* Issue and track contracts, ensuring all relevant paperwork is returned, filed, and regularly updated
* Liaise with and book entertainment for a monthly published activity schedule
* Act as the first point of contact, responding timely to all inquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face
* Conduct viewings, presenting the home positively at all times
* Assist in organizing staff birthday gifts
Hours:
The hours would be around 24 hours across the week, with an extra Saturday per month - more details to be provided at interview.
