* On-Call Dental Nurse Allowance 2% of basic salary, allowance % is dependent on On-Call demand and level of rotation, restricted geographical locations are likely to be in higher demand. There is a requirement to be part of the regional on-call rota for out of hours dental emergencies.
This commitment may vary and may also include travelling to dental centres within the region other than your normal place of work.
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare (Dental) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.
Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
* Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation, reporting any deficiencies and following all local policies and protocols.
* Providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in DPHC dental centres, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations.
* No expected Line Management responsibilities; any future changes will be discussed with the successful applicant at the time.

Registration and Memberships
* Current full General Dental Council registration.
* Please provide your membership registration number.
* You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application.
* Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid membership registration number.
Qualifications
* National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) Certificate or NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £26,530 to £29,114 a year RRA allowance £1500 per annum, pro-rata for part time.
