The Company:
We are working with one of the North West of England's best-known contractors who successfully deliver high profile, new build and conversion projects for a varied client base across the North West of England.
They are renowned for their excellent training and development programme and their policy of giving their team the opportunity to take on significant levels of responsibility at relatively early stages in their career.
The vast majority of their projects come from repeat business from an enviable client base.
Their supply chain includes some of the best subcontractors in the North West as they pay them on time and treat them well.
The Role:
Due to consistent growth, they are now in a position to recruit an Intermediate Estimator to their team.
This is a really good opportunity to join a highly successful team to win work.
With support from other Estimators, you will be tasked with:
1. Receiving tender enquiries and presenting the details to the Directors.
2. Agreeing to bid or not, completing the risk register.
3. Working with the rest of the pre-con team to meet deadlines.
4. Sending out and vetting subcontract enquiries.
5. Conducting site visits and attending tender review meetings.
6. Building up the tender through to tender adjudication.
7. Presenting the financial elements of the tender in line with the client's specification.
8. Helping with post-tender negotiations.
Working for this growing building contractor, you will be valued as a key member of the team.
This contractor provides excellent support and training to help you succeed in your career with a Senior Management team who have joined from a variety of top-tier contractors and are keen to pass on their knowledge.
You:
They would like to recruit an Intermediate level Estimator; they would also be open to chatting with Estimators or QSs who are considering a move into Estimating.
You will be IT literate (previous experience of using specialist Estimating Software would be very useful, but they can also train you on using this).
You will need to be able to commute to their offices, so you will likely live in Greater Manchester.
Rewards:
They offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a generous bonus that rewards endeavour. You will be working with a growing, successful, cash-rich contractor/developer who can provide a challenging and supportive working environment.
The chance to work on significant, high-profile projects for a leading North West based business.
