We are looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to work on a specific client project, where they are upgrading their existing data centre. Typical tasks included in the project; ups upgrades, replacing cracked units, upgrading the infrastructure of the data centre including mechanical and electrical elements. You will manage the DC upgrade on behalf of the Client. You will take responsibility to plan the project and monitor its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate. To be sucessful in this role you will be an experienced Project Manager with an M&E backround and a good awareness of change control management in a data centre environment. Project is anticipated to last 18-24 months, and there may be further opportunities after this. What you’ll be doing as our Data Centre Project Manager– M&E: Management and analysis of issues. Ensure the delivery of new services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan. Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme. Manage third party contributions to the programme as appropriate. Communicate with all relevant parties on a regular basis. Manage both the dependencies and interfaces between projects. Manage the risks of the programmes successful outcome. Report the progress if the programme and regular intervals to the Client. What we’re looking for in our Data Centre Programme Manager– M&E & Facility: Experience in Project / Programme Management using leading methods and technologies. Experience of managing multiple parties including project Managers and third-party vendors on high-profile and technologically innovative enterprise solutions. The ability to manage large teams across numerous locations. Prince 2 qualified. ITIL qualified MS Project experience. Understand budgetary control and resource allocation procedures. Ability to create a sense of community amongst disparate members of the team.
