Job summary Our team in Stoke are recruiting for an experienced Specialist Substance Misuse Nurse, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job As a Specialist Substance Misuse Nurse, you will provide a range of health and wellbeing and harm reduction interventions to clients in accordance with the agreed model of service delivery. As part of this role, you will support the delivery of high standards of clinical and nursing care to substance misusers in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice, whilst providing clinical leadership to nurses and other practitioners within the service. You will also have responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care; setting standards and managing a caseload, including liaison with other agencies where appropriate. This is a varied and rewarding role, working with the service's clinical team to support the learning and development needs of the workforce, assisting in the development, promotion and implementation of the nursing philosophy, vision and values. You will be an advocate for our patients, working closely with them to identify the physical, psychological, spiritual and social support they need.
