We are delighted to be continuing to grow and expand our team, and as part of our continued success and expansion, we are seeking a Key Account Manager to strengthen client relationships, drive sales growth, and contribute to business development initiatives. This role offers a dynamic mix of client service, sales activities and event participation, all within a flexible remote working environment. While the main focus of the role is to improve and manage the experience of existing clients, an applicant could expand into conversations with new clients and/or perform sales activities, too.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Relationship Management: Our customers are the core of our business, and they value the quick and personal support they receive when they have a query. A successful applicant will be technically adept, personable and able to respond to inbound client inquiries via email and phone, providing effective solutions for technical issues. In addition to reactive work, we also wish to proactively manage current customers to assess where we can improve, such as conducting performance audits and analysis to identify impact and offering actionable insights. A combination of interpersonal skills, as well as analytical thinking and approach, is required. Appropriate training and up-skilling will be provided.
* Client onboarding: Provide training to new clients in using the company’s products or services.
* Technical demonstrations: Being a technical role, it’s also expected that a successful applicant will be able to deliver product demonstrations and lead initial calls with potential clients.
* New business targeting: Identify & develop outreach strategies to build relationships with prospective clients. This would not be a core function but should be seen as part of data management and driving sales generation. Good data management, attention to detail, and willingness to engage new contacts is essential.
* Events and Networking: Events and industry shows are a key part of our outbound strategy, so a successful candidate would be willing to travel to various events either as an exhibitor, or attendee. Many of our clients attend such shows, so maintaining that relationship, as well as meeting potential new clients, is a critical activity. This could also include events beyond the UK, if appropriate. Trade shows have a degree of seasonality but expect to travel once per month on average. A second language is desirable but not essential for a successful candidate. Some events take place in the evenings and require travel; appropriate allowances will be made for such cases.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting client relationships.
* Effective time management and organisational abilities to handle multiple priorities.
* Analytical skills, particularly in Excel, for performance reviews and audits.
* Attention to detail, methodical approach to problem solving.
* Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a remote working environment.
* Willingness to learn a deep technical product and desire to help people.
Working Environment & Contact:
* We are accepting both hybrid and remote applications; our offices are in the south of England. Where possible, we value in-person working arrangements to foster community and collaboration. We welcome applicants nationwide.
* Contact will be at least weekly with virtual meetings to set objectives and review deliverables.
* Initially there will be monthly in-person meetings with the Co-Founder to ensure cultural alignment and job satisfaction.
* Quarterly performance reviews, focusing on feedback, growth, and career development.
* Travel for internal meetings, sales meetings, and industry events is expected as part of the role. Ideally applicants are able to drive.
Salary:
* Ranging from £38-45k depending on experience.
