We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Accommodation Assistant to join our team in Christchurch, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
Responsibilities
1. Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out processes
2. Answer inquiries and provide information about the property, local attractions, and amenities
3. Handle reservations, cancellations, and room assignments efficiently
4. Maintain accurate records and update guest information in the reservation system
5. Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner
6. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are clean and well-maintained
7. Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls
8. Assist with other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the accommodation facility
Qualifications
1. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
2. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
3. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
4. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Problem-solving abilities to address guest concerns and find practical solutions
6. Previous experience in the hospitality or accommodation industry is preferred
7. Knowledge of reservation systems and property management software is an advantage
8. Familiarity with local attractions and amenities in Christchurch is desirable
9. Fluency in additional languages is a plus, depending on the guest demographics
