Overview
A well-established law firm in Carrickfergus is seeking an experienced solicitor to assist across their core practice areas. The firm specialises in conveyancing, family law, probate and wills, criminal defence, and civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a respected firm with a strong client base.
Key Responsibilities
Conveyancing: Manage residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leases.
Family Law: Provide legal advice and representation on divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic proceedings.
Wills and Probate: Assist clients with estate planning, drafting wills, and managing probate and administration of estates.
Criminal Defence: Represent clients in criminal matters, including police station attendance, Magistrates’ Court, and Crown Court proceedings.
Civil Litigation: Handle a variety of disputes, including personal injury, debt recovery, contract disputes, and employment law matters.
Client Relationships: Maintain and develop strong client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service and professionalism.
Compliance and Best Practices: Adhere to legal and professional regulatory requirements, maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of legal services and share knowledge across the firm.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland (or equivalent jurisdiction).
*
Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
*
Strong legal knowledge and experience in conveyancing, family law, probate and wills, criminal defence, or civil litigation.

Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
*
Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and work under pressure.
*
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
*
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
