£60,000 - £70,000

The Role:
As the Head of Finance and Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and operational aspects of the business. This role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Where you’ll Shine:
1. Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
2. Managing cash flow and working capital in line with Management guidelines
3. Overseeing and managing financial performance e.g. lock-up, utilisation, productivity, etc to ensure strong profitable performance
4. Providing financial modelling for new projects/hires/services lines etc as required
5. Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
6. Providing practical advice on and financial modelling for projects, new hires and new services
7. Liaising with appropriate third parties eg banks, lenders etc;
8. Developing and implementing efficient operational processes and procedures
9. Managing IT infrastructure and systems
10. Overseeing premises and facilities management, including maintenance and repairs
11. Managing risk and insurance (in conjunction with our COLP)
12. Leading and managing administrative and support staff
13. Working with Head of Business Development and Delivery to ensure that the central services team supports delivery of five star client service and product delivery
14. Managing and delivering various projects, such as system implementations and process improvements to drive efficiency, productivity and profitability
15. Contributing to business strategic direction and decision-making reporting to the MD
16. Identifying opportunities for operational improvement and cost reduction
About You:
1. Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
2. Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles
3. Experience in professional services SME environment
4. Proven experience in managing teams and projects
5. Experienced in identifying and implementing operational improvements
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to work
10. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders
11. Ability to lead and manage change initiatives
12. Understanding of risk management principles and ability to identify and mitigate risks
