To work as a member of the Epilepsy Administrative team to provide daily assistance to the Epilepsy Specialist nursing team giving confidential administrative support. To assist the Advanced Nurse practitioner in all administration duties relating to the day-to-day running of the service To support the Advanced nurse practitioner in the service delivery, which is safe, effective, and responsive. To assist in maintaining required levels of access at all times, for patients and referrers of the specialist service across seven days. Provide a high standard of administration and secretarial support to the service by typing correspondence and reports, organising meetings, maintaining diaries and managing a comprehensive filing system; carry out other duties as may be required for the effective operation of the service. Organise own workload and act independently within appropriate guidelines. To provide a polite and efficient reception service to visitors if required. Support clinics by undertaking receptionist duties; able to negotiate with patients whose first language is not English; preparing new patient medical notes; making patient appointments; entering data onto Excel spreadsheets and database.
