New Business Manager - Home/Field Based - Oxford, Reading, Southampton, Swindon
Up to £48,000 depending on experience - uncapped bonus potential, company car or car allowance and excellent company benefits
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Manager with a deep love for food and a strong background in the hospitality industry. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing key accounts, driving sales growth, and building long-term relationships with our clients. Your ability to understand client needs, coupled with your passion for food, will be key in delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
1. To win new commercial business, with customers whose food spend is between £300,000 to £2m per year, via active prospecting and pipeline management.
2. To build cross-functional relationships with prospect customers so they see Brakes as their next supply partner.
3. Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets in line with the national account new business budget.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high-quality tender submissions.
5. Lead the launch of new business wins with the implementation team.
6. Identify joint opportunities within the wider UK group for securing new customers.
7. Support the development of business goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives within the team.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in new business development or national account roles, with success in multiple sectors and tender management.
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
* Strong negotiation and solution-selling skills.
* Good commercial acumen and understanding of profit levers.
* Results-driven with high energy and resilience.
* Knowledge of the hospitality/catering marketplace is advantageous.
* Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and tender evaluations.
