We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD in KS2. This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support.
Help the pupil access the curriculum through personalised strategies and interventions.
Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals as needed.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children with ADHD in a primary school setting.
Is calm, patient, and adaptable with a nurturing approach.
Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Is proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Understands the importance of inclusion and equal opportunities.
Qualifications:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Certificate) is desirable however not essential.
Training in ADHD strategies, positive behaviour support, or similar areas is an advantage.
