Senior HV Engineer (Full Training into Tidal Energy)
2 Weeks in Orkney / 2 Week Home Based (Remote) OR Relocation to Orkney

Are you a HV Engineer with experience in isolations, switching, and electrical project delivery?

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the testing process for wave and tidal energy devices created by their clients. This will also involve reviewing their designs, ensuring a smooth connection to the grid, and evaluating the devices' power output. In addition, you will manage their testing facilities and equipment, including high voltage connections and measurement systems. Training can be provided if you don't have AP or SAP status.
The ideal candidate will come from a relevant HV background such as Renewables, Oil & Gas, or similar, where they are looking to come into a role that has high responsibility in which they can develop and implement their own ideas to help grow the team.

The Role:
1. Providing testing services for wave and tidal generating devices including participating in technology design reviews.
2. Working with clients to solve problems of an electrical or technical nature and provide performance-related data and reports to assist with the design and operation of these devices.
3. Implementing equipment and systems maintenance plans within budgets.
4. Managing the operation of the organisation's electrical systems by working closely with Electrical Engineers and Contractors.
The Person:
1. HV background with previous responsibility for isolations, switching, and similar activities.
2. Degree or HNC / HND educated in a technical or electrical/electronic discipline.
3. Willing to relocate to Orkney OR happy to work on a hybrid basis.
