JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Under close supervision, following specific instructions as to methods and working details, must be willing and able to perform the less difficult tasks involved in making tests, repairs, adjustments, and calibrations on relays, meters, telemeters, supervisory control, carrier current equipment, and other similar apparatus and related equipment in laboratory and field, and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned:

Connect and read meters, instruments, etc.
:
Take notes in field and laboratory and prepare routine reports.
:
Perform necessary housekeeping.
:
Use hand tools.
:
Work off of ladders on poles, structures or towers and have ability to handle self in a safe and efficient manner.
:
Operate Companys vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
:
Assist in switching.
:
Assist in constructing, installing, and maintaining all relaying and associated equipment.
:
Assist in storm restoration in substations and other groups.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
:
Be willing and able to learn the Companys safety rules and be willing and able to administer all approved methods of resuscitation and be willing and able to render practical first aid.
:
Maintain automobile and truck drivers license, TWIC card CIP background check or other applicable license, background check, or ID.
:
Be responsible for Company tools, instruments, and equipment.
:
Be willing and able to become familiar with relay and spare parts stock.
:
Have practical working knowledge of electrical circuits and equipment.
:
Be willing and able to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
:
Be willing and able to perform routine operations of moderate complexity and variety.
:
Be willing and able to learn the Companys electrical and mechanical tagging rules and requirements for a qualified switchman.
:
Be willing and able to obtain working knowledge of Company's practices and standards as related to work.
:
Satisfactorily complete all necessary and mandatory training requirements associated with the position.
