Credit Controller
Job Summary:
Join Jellyfish Energy, a company dedicated to providing fair and transparent energy supply for SME businesses, as a Credit Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. The position is based in Newcastle.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actions.
2. Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and negotiate payment terms.
3. Update and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status.
4. Collaborate with the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
5. Prepare and send statements of account to customers on a regular basis.
6. Evaluate credit risk of new and existing customers to minimise financial losses.
7. Implement credit control policies and procedures to improve cash flow management.
Requirements:
1. Experience in accounts payable or credit control roles.
2. Strong financial management skills with the ability to analyse credit data effectively.
3. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
