Demonstrate competence in handling endoscopes such us manual cleaning of endoscopes, decontamination process, tracing and maintaining specialist endoscopy equipment in accordance with local and trust decontamination guidelines and policies. 2. Demonstrate awareness of COSHH regulations and the importance of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when dealing with contaminated equipment or chemicals. 3. Guide and support junior members of staff in their development and assist the Senior Staff Nurses and Unit Manager in the training of all staff in the cleaning and reprocessing of endoscopes. 4. Ensure that weekly water samples are taken according to agreed protocols 5. Undertaking daily machine tests and escalate any concerns to the estates department 6.
