Job summary
Tunbridge Wells PCN are looking to recruit a newly qualified,salaried GP to join our growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
Due to thechanges in the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners we are looking toexpand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner whohas not previously been substantively employed at a GP Practice to workalongside our practice and PCN staff.
In keeping with the PCN ARRS guidelines, this is currentlyan offer for a fixed term post with funding available until 31 March 2025 but it isanticipated this funding will continue after this date allowing review forcontinuing post.
We are looking for a 6-7 session GP depending on thecandidate and the needs of the PCN.
We are a well- established PCN team who are passionate aboutdeveloping and delivering excellent quality local services to meet the needs ofour patients. Our practices are keen to work with our team of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, ParamedicPractitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, Care Coordinators, Mental healthPractitioners and Mental Health Navigators.
Main duties of the job
This post is seen as a perfect opportunity to those new to starting life as a GP. It includes a dedicated mentor along with a reduced and controlled workload to allow the successful candidate time and support to develop as a fully qualified GP. We are keen to offer the successful candidate flexibility and the opportunity to develop in leadership.

We work closely and collaborativelyto deliver care to our patient population. Many of our practices are trainingpractices and will therefore offer comprehensive support to newly qualifiedGPs.

To perform as an autonomous general practitioner workingindependently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose andtreat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. As anewly or recently qualified GP, you will benefit from daily support fromexperienced GP colleagues

Essential
1. Experience of working in a primary care environment
2. Experience of Emis Web
3. Experience of continued professional development
4. Ability to work as part of a team
5. Not previously been substantively employed at a GP Practice
6. General understanding of the primary care contract
Desirable
7. Experience of medicines management
8. Experience of ICB initiatives
9. Any level of post-training experience will be considered.
Qualifications
Essential
10. Newly Qualified General Practitioner with under 2 years from gaining their CCT.
11. MRCGP
12. General Practitioner Certificate of Completion of Training CCT
13. Full GMC registration
14. National Performers List registration (England), noting that confirmation on this list is adequate for DBS confirmation
15. Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
16. Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
17. Current UK/EU Driving License
