The Role Boeing’s Defence UK Digital Function is at the forefront of delivering innovative programmes within the Defence and Security sectors across the UK. We are seeking an IPT Tech Lead – Engineering and Logistics to join our team. This role will primarily focus design and execution of a significant programme of work for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in the Engineering and Logistics domain. Primary Responsibilities As part of your role, your duties and responsibilities will include: Designing and developing System Features, User Stories and enablers derived from Maritime, Land, and Air system designs. Providing team and technical leadership for a team of Analyst programmers, Integration Engineers, Testers, and DevSecOps. Managing System Feature and Enabler Task requirement baselines (into Maritime, Land or Air SEIT). Planning, managing, and coordinating Maritime, Land or Air Feature / Unit Verification and Validation Testing. Supporting SEIT Maritime, Land or Air CofD generation with System feature functional and non-functional definition. Supporting IT product strategy, concepts, and capabilities. Supporting business case and product plans. Overseeing and supporting the creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps. Working with other IT professionals to ensure requirements are met. Supporting product demonstrations, adjusting product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets. Implementing / Being the Product Owner of ERP and MRO systems. Please note that the above list is not exhaustive and you’ll be required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required. Preferred Experience Understanding of MOD maintenance, equipment, and engineering processes. Proven track record of delivering business value from technology within the Defence Industry, either by aiding customers in developing and governing their enterprise architecture or by providing innovative solution architecture in response to specific business needs. Extensive experience as a Senior Technology / Engineering Leader within the Defence sector. Experience of SQL Developer and SAP data migration and integration processes, is desired. Proficient in implementing SAP ERP and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) systems. Knowledge of MOD, DEFSTAN / JSP standards. Degree-level education preferred, but will consider experience in this area. Self-starter with experience working in a matrix organization, capable of discussing ideas and concepts with staff at all levels. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, partners, vendors, and project sponsors. Familiarity with a range of delivery methods, including waterfall, agile, and DevOps.
