About the Role
As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for developing robust new business strategies and consistent opportunity pipelines. Day to day, you will articulate the value of experience innovation and digital transformation to potential clients, translating trends and technical concepts to C-level executives. It is your responsibility to build, grow, and nurture a steady pipeline of opportunities through the creation of new prospective client relationships as well as leveraging existing relationships within your extensive network. You will confidently drive the creation, development, negotiation, and closing of enterprise-size deals while remaining customer-centric and collaborative across the team and the wider organization to help our customers achieve their business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify new opportunities and continuously look for potential clients to grow the Valtech business.
* Analyze market trends across focused vertical markets and keep up with industry trends, market demands, and competitor strategies.
* Develop and implement business strategies to increase the company's competitive advantage.
* Build and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors through various channels and strategies.
* Evaluate partnerships by working closely with the Partnerships and Alliances team to assess existing partnerships and sales efforts.
* Manage key client relationships and work to build new ones.
* Represent the organization in pitches with C-level and executive-level customer stakeholders and attend customer meetings.
* Have extensive experience in the digital consultancy world, selling a broad range of digital expertise including Data & AI, Cloud & Platforms, and the design of intelligent experiences.
* Demonstrate previous experience navigating complex and challenging negotiations.
* Utilize various sales methodologies and techniques to remove blockers and move opportunities along.
* Exhibit strong leadership and team-working capabilities, leading from the front on RFPs/RFIs and pitches.
* Possess excellent time, planning, and project management skills, keeping yourself and collaborators organized and focused.
* Communicate effectively both written and verbally, being a great listener and able to convey complex or technical information in an engaging way.
* Demonstrate high levels of resilience, attention to detail, and commitment to problem-solving, being creative and thinking outside the box when necessary.
* Work independently as well as collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Show evidence of strong networking, relationship building, and business acquisition skills.
