Manage the merchandising of company products within a designated geographic area, overseeing all activities related to the merchandising team. Collaborate with the Sales & Merchandising Supervisor to develop and execute a routing plan that aligns with the organization's objectives. Serve as a key liaison between the company and the trade on merchandising and in-store supervision matters, fostering strong relationships. Provide coaching and development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the merchandising team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure each merchandiser follows daily work instructions and adheres to merchandising policies and guidelines.
* Foster effective working relationships with customers, sales representatives, and merchandisers.
* Monitor merchandiser and overall team performance to ensure standards are met.
* Oversee the execution of in-store promotions.
* Collect key marketing data for the marketing team.
* Track competitor activities, including new products, strategies, and potential threats.
* Provide timely feedback to the sales and marketing teams on consumer activities and market trends.
* Develop in-store strategies for shelf layouts, point-of-sale placements, and use of principal planograms.
* Ensure merchandising team adherence to strategies through supervision.
* Collaborate with Brand Managers to execute trade and consumer promotions.
* Support the sales team in becoming the preferred supplier or category champion for key customers.
* Identify and report individual store challenges and opportunities to the Sales & Merchandising Supervisor.
* Identify opportunities for new product growth and increased business efficiency.
* Maximize product visibility by identifying opportunities for gondola, floor, and end-cap displays, and optimizing shelf facings.
* Assist with trade promotion activities.
* Monitor and report competitor activities that pose a threat to the company.
* Provide the market team with insights on brand visibility, product placement, and shelf space utilization.
* Conduct routine point-of-sale (POS) drives.
* Assist Sales Representatives and Supervisors in securing placements for racks and other special displays.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.

ACADEMIC/QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* 5 CSEC subjects
* Four years Merchandising experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES
* Excellent written and oral communication
* Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
