Summary
The Manufacturing Lead shall be proficient in all aspects of Aerospace Manufacturing CNC Milling machines including set-up and operating multi-axis equipment and the ability to work in a well-rounded job shop environment. The Manufacturing Lead will be a liaison between the shop floor, engineering, and management team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Lead a growing manufacturing team to meet internal and external goals.
* Interpret customer blueprints, company operation sheets and operation description sheets.
* Ability to follow set up instructions pertaining to setting CNC tooling, fixtures, vices, and 4 or 5 axis rotaries.
* Troubleshoot and work directly with Engineering, Programming, and Quality to improve operations.
* Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, gage blocks, thread gages, etc. as required.
* Adjust tooling offsets, observe tooling for wear, troubleshoot and optimize processes.
* Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
* Ability to use the Fanuc and Haas Machine Control.
* Operate within Standard Aerospace Manufacturing requirements, maintaining proper documentation, traceability, and lot control.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Physical Requirements:
* Ability to work and mentor fellow employees respectfully as a team leader.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 10 years' experience as CNC Milling machinist preferred.
Working Conditions:
Normal production environment, subject to moderate noise levels from manufacturing equipment; working in proximity of moving equipment and potentially sharp manufactured parts; climate-controlled work environment with adequate venting to minimize breathing fumes, dust and mist; PPE provided to minimize skin exposure to oils, cutting fluids, and sharp metal edges.
Physical Requirements:
* Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
* Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
* Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
