About the division
The Water Consultancy Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies, through outline and detailed design, to construction support and site supervision.
Overview of role

As part of our rivers team, you will be able to make a difference, enabling sustainable water stewardship, increasing resilience against floods and droughts, and improving water quality with nature-based solutions.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists, supporting the preparation of engineering studies, calculations and outline/detailed civil engineering designs; producing technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules; and carrying out site supervision duties. You will support working in close partnership with clients and contractors, building strong relationships that will enhance the company’s reputation and help secure further work.
Candidate specification
We are looking for people who can demonstrate the following:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar
* Chartered Member of a recognised professional body (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers or similar), or working towards Chartership
* Preferably from a background of having experience in the delivery of dams, rivers, and water infrastructure projects
* Effective communication, with clients, project team and other project stakeholders
* Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
