Your new role
1. Undertake credit control activities, in accordance with the defined processes, to ensure prompt premium payment and to achieve agreed KPIs.
2. Ensure timely and accurate allocation of payments to the appropriate policy entries. This includes the coordination and reconciliation of all items on Broker accounts.
3. Escalate to business and/or Team Leader where support needed to improve broker payment performance or resolve queries.
4. Process accounting entries and payment requests in accordance with assigned authority levels.
5. Prepare and issue monthly broker statements of accounts
6. Allocate funds received and request closings and slips from Brokers
7. Pursue debtors frequently by telephone, email, teams meeting to secure payment
8. Analyse and identify inconsistencies and record errors in booked premium, liaise with underwriters and technical team to correct booked entries
9. Resolution of unallocated cash, provide constructive feedback on issues which have resulted in mis posting to unallocated cash
What you'll need to succeed
10. Extensive credit control experience.
11. Insurance knowledge/collections experience would be advantageous-Lloyd of London, Reinsurance, Insurance, Financial Services
12. A tenacious personality able to handle sometimes difficult phone calls and meetings.
13. Lateral thinker with the ability to generate creative solutions toplex problems
14. Excellentmunication skills.
15. Ability to manage high work-loads.
16. A team player but able to use own initiative.
17. IT literate with ability to pick up new systems quickly.
