What we are looking for in you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, honest and hardworking person to join our team in Minehead as a Team Leader. This role will be leading the team who deliver our work in partnership with Somerset Council to provide a key service of supported accommodation for young people aged 16 – 24.
You will work collaboratively with and lead the Young Peoples' team in Minehead to build professional, positive and trusting relationships with young people, colleagues and other relevant agencies. This role involves modelling, developing and encouraging positive behaviours to young people and team members to ensure that young people can be manage their accommodation effectively, whilst fostering and working towards a sustainable, long-term positive outcome.
We are growing and extending our passionate Young Persons’ Housing team in Somerset and are keen to find people who really believe in young people and their potential and who are motivated to make a real difference in for young people and communities.
Creating professional, positive and trusting relationships are key to working with every young person, in order to provide a supportive environment where they can make steps to move on to greater independence and achieve goals that matter to them.
Whilst there are systems in place to support you, part of the role includes the ability to lone work. Therefore, we require someone competent and confident when working alone and somebody who is able to understand and work with complex and challenging behaviours, appropriately.
Team Leaders play an instrumental role in ensuring teams work effectively and consistently together to achieve the best outcomes for young people. If you're ready to make a real impact we look forward to receiving your application.
