Manpower are seeking an experienced vehicle maintenance technician in Coryton.
Requirements and Responsibilities
* You'll take charge of maintaining, repairing, and modifying our fleet of vehicles and trailers, while also providing essential technical support, from fault analysis to resolution.
* Delivery of high-quality technical work, all while adhering to strict Health & Safety standards when handling equipment, machines, and tools.
* Your initiative and attention to detail, coupled with a strong understanding of vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment, will be key to your success.
* Your organisational skills will be essential in maintaining clear documentation, keeping accurate records, and meeting important deadlines.
* You will be responsible for all repairs and ensuring they are performed in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
* You will need to safely operate all relevant equipment, machines, and tools, and complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
The Ideal Candidate
* The ideal candidate should hold education to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or possess an equivalent engineering discipline.
* Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic in a similar role is essential.
* While it is preferable to hold an HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and a current ADR, these are not mandatory.
* You should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems.
* The role requires someone who can multitask, meet key deadlines, and exhibit rigorous fault-finding skills. You should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, showcasing strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
