We have an opportunity for an Inspection Support Officer to join the Business Insight function within the Business, Design and Assurance Department. You will be part of a team focused on delivering expert and professional services on a full range of inspection and assurance matters, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance for the delivery of our services with measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with senior clients in relation to inspectorate recommendations and areas for improvement to support clients to make informed decisions regarding organisational adoption at the appropriate governance meeting.
Review, update, and assure information provided by clients in response to recommendations, findings and/or areas for improvement ensuring that information is accurate and timely providing challenge where appropriate.
Manage and coordinate response to correspondence received from the inspectorate through the HMIC Liaison mailbox including arranging the timetable, managing logistical requirements for effective fieldwork and coordinating insight activities for the inspectorate.
Work closely with the BI Analytics to coordinate and collate the collection of data and document requests for the Inspectorates activity, service improvement activity and/or audits.
Support the Inspection and Assurance team in conducting service improvement reviews, audits, inspection, and FMS preparation.
Conduct transactional audits in accordance with Service catalogues and produce factual reports on behalf of clients.
Provide timely and accurate administrative support to ensure the Inspection and Assurance SharePoint pages are relevant and up to date.
Support the Risk Team in reviewing and updating business continuity plans and organisational risks maintaining competence in the use of Active Risk Manager (ARM) or equivalent software.
Provide specialist advice to clients in relation to policies and procedures compliance.
Maintain accurate records of all clients policies and procedures and advise clients on reviews and updates whilst also supporting clients through tracking of authorities, governance and version control.
Requirements:
To be successful you will:
Have a good level of knowledge and experience of researching and collating information and translating complex verbal information into concise and relevant outputs.
Experience of planning, timetabling and maintenance of accurate information systems.
Experience of Inspection and Assurance activity would be beneficial.
