You’ll receive:
* A salary of up to £28,000 pa, negotiable based on experience.
* Bonus/incentive scheme paid quarterly.
* 23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays = 31 days total p.a.

Your typical day as a Buyer:
Our Buyer will be an integral part of the procurement team, responsible for supporting purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career in procurement, providing hands-on experience in supply management, vendor relations and contract negotiation.
You’ll ensure optimisation of company assets, to fully and continually satisfy customers’ and end users’ requirements, maintaining suitable economic inventory levels. Taking a lead in procuring from approved suppliers and service providers, you’ll drive cost reduction initiatives and contribute to overall budget management.

You’ll already have:
* A degree level education or equivalent is ideal.
* A proven track record of achieving results, preferably in a supply chain, buying or procurement environment.
* Proven communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
* Detailed knowledge of the procurement process and be able to demonstrate good negotiation and influencing skills.
* A full UK driving licence is ideal as there will be occasions when you’ll need to travel to visit suppliers.
* Experience with MRP controlled production environments (desirable).
* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Comprehensive IT skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with stock management systems would be beneficial.
* A desire to develop your existing skills while also learning about Supply Chain and other areas of the business.
