Harrington Starr are delighted to partner with a financial technology SaaS provider who are looking to add a Business Manager to their London team as they enjoy an impressive period of sustained growth.
Founded in 2021, this business are financially backed by a leading UK bank - they provide an innovative SaaS based platform allowing traditional banks to provide bespoke solutions & tools to their commercial clients. They have a healthy pipeline of exciting projects and are growing rapidly across multiple teams. This is a unique opportunity to become the first Operations hire, reporting into the two founders.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with 2-4 years experience in a similar role looking to enter the fintech space and work for a truly innovative start-up making exciting waves in the sector.
This role is based in London and requires 2-3 days a week in the office (City based).
The role:
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure organizational compliance with policies and legal requirements, manage risks, and submit regulatory reports.
* People Management: Oversee hiring, retention, and performance appraisals. Support training, development, and a positive workplace culture.
* Business Operations: Collaborate on strategic planning, improve processes, manage vendors, and oversee key projects.
* Communication & Reporting: Engage stakeholders and report on business performance, compliance, and team productivity to senior management and the board.
About you:
* Education: Bachelor’s in Business or related field i.e. Management, Finance etc.
* Experience: 3+ years professional experience in business management, focused on governance, compliance, and people management.
* Skills: Regulatory knowledge, leadership, communication, analytical and project management abilities.
* FinTech (start-up/scale-up experience) preferred
