This is a great opportunity for a mechanical engineer who is looking to move in to a shift with no nights, whilst maintaining an extended period of time off between each shift rotation. A successful manufacturer is looking to recruit a mechanical engineer and is ready to speak to people now. As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance as well as getting involved in project and improvement work on site. The company are open to speaking to people who are mechanically biased and qualified, but they are also open to engineers who are multi-skilled.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer
Proactive maintenance and site PMs
Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
Working across mechanical faults and maintenance
Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer
Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
Experience working in a maintenance engineer role previously, ideally in a similar industry
