Position: Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision
Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay: From £89 per day (Dependent on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Alternative Provision school in Kidderminster. About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at our Alternative Provision school, you will work closely with students who require additional support, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour. Your role will be to provide a calm, supportive, and structured environment where these students can thrive and succeed in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students with challenging behaviour, offering guidance and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
2. Assist the teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
3. Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages students to engage with their education.
4. Work closely with other staff and professionals to develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
5. Monitor students’ progress and help build their social and emotional skills.
About You
We are looking for a confident, resilient, and compassionate individual with a genuine desire to help students overcome personal and academic challenges. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour is desired.
2. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing difficult situations.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
4. A proactive approach with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to individual student needs.
5. Classroom setting experience is essential.
